Rain checks

Rain checks are a great way to lock in the sale price when a store is out of an item.  Sometimes pairing that rain check with coupons could make your items free.  Know your stores rain check policy.  Does their rain checks expire?  Keep a close eye on the coupons you intend to use with the rain checks.  If your coupon expires in a few days of issuing the rain check your store might not have time to restock the emptied shelf.  Rain checks only take a minute of your time to get.  Think of how much you might be saving dollar wise, that one minute will be well worth the wait.
