I Set Out to Get 6 Items Free at Target, But.....

I set out to Target with a list of 6 items that would all have been free with coupons.
Here was my list:

1 90 CT Post it Notes on sale for .99
   Use $1.00 off coupon found on Target.com/coupons
   Cost Free

2 Bic 8 CT Mechanical Pencils on sale for .99 each
   Use $1.00 off two coupon found in 8/3 Smartsource
  and use $1.00 off two coupon found on Target.com/coupons (or in Target Mailer)

1 Bic Silky Touch 10 CT Disposable Razors $2.99
Use $3.00 off coupon from 7/27 Smartsource

2 Suave Kids Conditioner 12 oz Limited Time Sale of $1.44
Use 2 $1 off coupons from 7/27 Smartsource
Or use 2 $1 off coupons found here
and use Target Mobile Coupon text Packitback to 827438 to receive the mobile coupons


So this list looks good right...Out of pocket should cost me $0.
This is what I ended up coming home with:

So why did I not come home with the Bic Silky Touch Disposable Razors or the Suave Kids Conditioner? Since I wrote the price down I knew that my Target did not have the Bic Silky Touch Razors for $2.99, my store had them for $3.50. I almost picked a pack up to purchase them since $.50 for them is still an awesome price, but for now I will hold that coupon and see if I find a better deal somewhere else. Possibly Walmart.

Lesson to learn from this. Write the prices down on your list before you head to the store. Not all stores have their regular prices the same. It's good to check it out for yourself and see if the deal still makes sense for YOU.

Now onto the Suave conditioner if you guessed I didn't come home with it because the shelves were cleared, you'd be right. I will be keeping my eye out for the this at other Target's this week. Not that I need it, but I was picking it up to donate.
